If there is something I love  more than historical fiction it’s a split time historical novel. The Keeper of Happy Endings toggles between  Paris under Nazis occupation  and Boston in the 1980’s.

The book opens in 1939   Solaine Roussel is working at her families legendary  bridal salon.   Each Roussel  gown has a small charm sewn into a seam and  is trimmed with a  white satin bow.  Legend has it that every bride that wears a Roussel gown  will have a long and happy marriage.

Fifty years later, Rory Grant  finds a box of memories  belonging to Solaine.  The friendship that develops between Rory and Solaine  begins slowly begins to  heal  the families torn apart by war.  There is such a happy ending that you will close the pages with a genuine smile.
